About this site

On a working sheep farm at the foot of Pendle Hill, Angram Green Cottage Certificated Site is a Camping and Caravanning Club Certificated Site just outside Worston, three miles from Clitheroe, with superb views across farmland and the open Ribble Valley. The farm sits in the Forest of Bowland Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, half a mile from the A59 and half a mile from a pub serving food, with the nearest shop two miles away and Downham and Pendle Witch country on the doorstep. There is a gently sloping area for caravans with four electric hook ups and a separate flat area for tents, also with hook ups, and the site takes a maximum of five caravans or motorhomes and up to ten tents at any one time. Facilities are simple and well kept: flush toilets, a hot shower at no extra charge, a washing up area with hot water, drinking water from Angram Green's own spring, and a chemical disposal point with a wash out hose. Christine and John Haworth accept Club members only, so you need to be signed up before you book. Fires of any description are strictly forbidden, though BBQs raised off the ground are fine, and dogs are welcome on a lead at one per unit. Booking ahead is advised on 01200 441455.

Good to know

Do I need to be a member to stay?
Yes, Angram Green accepts Camping and Caravanning Club members only. It is a Club Certificated Site, so you need to be signed up with the Club before you book. Day guests visiting members are welcome on site but are asked to leave before dusk.
Are campfires allowed?
No, fires of any description are strictly forbidden. BBQs are acceptable as long as they are raised off the ground, which protects the grass on this working sheep farm. If you want a fire pit evening, this is not the site for you and you would be better looking elsewhere in the Ribble Valley.
Are dogs allowed?
Yes, well behaved dogs are welcome but must be on a lead at all times, and no more than one dog per unit. The owners ask you to exercise your dog off site and clean up after it, which is fair enough on a farm running Swaledale and Blue Faced Leicester sheep.
How many pitches are there?
The site can take a maximum of five caravans or motorhomes and up to ten tents at any one time. Caravans go on a gently sloping area with four electric hook ups, and there is a separate flat area for tents that also has hook ups. Prior booking is advised to avoid disappointment.
Is there electric hook up?
Yes, there are four electric hook ups on the caravan area and the tent area has hook ups too. Other facilities include ladies and gents flush toilets, a hot shower at no extra charge, a washing up area with hot water, and drinking water piped from the farm's own spring.
How far is Clitheroe and Pendle Hill?
Clitheroe is three miles away and the site is half a mile from the A59. Angram Green sits at the foot of Pendle Hill on a sheep farm just outside Worston, in the Forest of Bowland Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. A pub serving food is half a mile away and the nearest shop two miles.
