Approach Farm Caravan Site

Pitches: 16 Opening Dates: 1st February To 1st December Approach Farm Caravan Site is a family owned and run site for caravans, motorhomes and tents which we, Angus and Kerry Gowthorpe have run for 4 years, having previously been operated by Margaret & Peter Gowthorpe for over 20 years. The site offers 16 electric pitches on a 1.25 acre grass site on our working arable and beef farm, as well as 2 non electrical pitches. The site is peaceful, relaxing and quiet, the grass is mown weekly, or more when needed! The site is just 7 miles to the south of York, 0.5 mile north of Riccall village which offers shops, pubs and restaurants. There is a bus stop 500m from the site with regular buses into York and Selby. York city centre is 25 minutes (non rush hour), the Yorkshire Coast, Yorkshire Wolds and Moors are an hour or less away. Dogs are welcome - on a lead - and visitors are most welcome to walk on the farm tracks to exercise dogs or themselves. The Sustrans York-Selby cycle track can be joined at Riccall for a very pleasant, safe and flat cycle or walk into York. Whilst we don't have a shower block we do have a toilet for visitors' use. There is a games room with pool table and table tennis table.
