About this site

Ashdene Naturist Club is a family friendly naturist club in the Calder Valley, between Elland and Brighouse in West Yorkshire. This is a naturist club, so nudity is the accepted norm across the grounds and facilities, and it welcomes members, visiting campers and day guests. Founded in 1986 and still run by its members, Ashdene sits beside the Ashday Lane woodland walk, with the River Calder and canal about 5 minutes away and Halifax roughly 4 miles north. Camping is open to visitors, not members only. There are touring pitches with electric hook up for tents, caravans and motorhomes or campervans, plus three club caravans to rent, and dogs are welcome. What stands out is the club side: a heated swimming pool with a retractable roof, a licensed clubhouse bar, free Wi-Fi and a busy calendar of live music, quizzes and petanque. Families, couples and solo campers all fit here, but anyone uncomfortable with social nudity should book somewhere else. The site is open all year, with day visits from £15 and a higher winter base rate covering extra electricity; book overnight stays through the club.
