About this site

Brown Bank Caravan Park is a family run holiday park on Addingham Moorside, under the edge of Ilkley Moor near Silsden in West Yorkshire, with wide open views across surrounding farmland. Most of the park is made up of around 120 privately owned static caravans that are used only by their owners and are not available to rent, so the bookable offer for visitors is small: 10 touring caravan or motorhome pitches and 10 tent pitches, all with electric hook up, and booking ahead is essential. The Laycock family have run the site for more than 60 years, and it works as a quiet base rather than an entertainment park. Facilities include a recently refurbished shower and toilet block and a dedicated dog walking area, and dogs are welcome. Walkers are well placed here: Ilkley is about four miles away, the start of the Dales Way is around four miles off, and Bolton Abbey and the Yorkshire Dales are roughly ten minutes by car, while Silsden itself is a short walk or drive for shops and pubs. The park runs a seven month season and does not open all year. Prices are confirmed directly with the park when you book, so contact Brown Bank for current touring and camping rates.

Good to know

Can I bring my dog?
Yes, dogs are welcome at Brown Bank Caravan Park and there is a dedicated dog walking area on site. The park sits on open moorside near Ilkley Moor with farmland and walks all around, so there is plenty of space nearby to exercise a dog away from the pitches.
Is the park open all year?
No, Brown Bank runs a seven month season rather than opening all year, so the touring and tent pitches are available across the main season only. The site licence also does not permit anyone to live on site, and the static caravans are for their owners' holiday use.
Does it take tents and tourers?
Yes, alongside the privately owned static caravans there are 10 touring caravan or motorhome pitches and 10 tent pitches, all with electric hook up. Numbers are limited and booking ahead is essential. The rest of the park is made up of statics that are owned privately and not available to rent.
What are the facilities like?
The park has a recently refurbished toilet and shower block, along with drinking water and bin points close to the pitches and a dedicated dog walking area. It is run as a quiet holiday park with open views rather than an entertainment site, so there are no bars or clubs on site.
What is nearby?
Ilkley is about four miles away, and the start of the Dales Way long distance walk is around four miles off. Bolton Abbey and the Yorkshire Dales are roughly ten minutes by car, and Silsden village, with shops and pubs, is a short walk or drive from the park.
How much does it cost?
Prices are confirmed directly with Brown Bank Caravan Park when you book, rather than published on a public price list. Because the touring and tent pitches are limited in number and the park is popular in season, contacting the site early to check rates and availability is recommended.
