Why campers love it here
About this site
Pitches: 30 Opening Dates: 24 April - 6 September 2020 Batcombe Vale is a small, friendly and relaxed campsite set in an ÔArea of Outstanding Natural Beauty' in the rolling hills of Somerset. There are wild gardens, lakes, wooded areas, and shaded glades to explore or simply relax and observe the abundant wildlife. Free rowing boats provide fun for children and adults alike. Walks of varying lengths can be enjoyed from the campsite, including one to the local pub! The campsite landscaping includes thirty individual pitches of mown grass, all adjacent a hard roadway. There are electric hook-ups, water, drainage and rubbish points, toilets and showers with free hot water and a chemical disposal unit. We are a dog friendly site. The 120 acre valley around the campsite is part of Batcombe Vale and you are welcome to wander and picnic in the fields around the site or enjoy a walk by the river running along the edge of the fields. Within 3 miles, there are 3 good pubs offering excellent food and ale, shops, a cashpoint and a petrol station. We are open from 5 May to 8 September for campervans, single axle touring caravans, tents and motorhomes. Batcombe Vale is a quiet and restful haven and not suitable if you want to stay up late partying. Like us on www.facebook.com/batcombevalecampsite
