About this site

Beechwood Stables Caravan Site is a five van Caravan and Motorhome Club Certificated Location on New Lane at Thornton-Cleveleys, a small, semi rural spot for club members within walking distance of Cleveleys and a short drive from Blackpool. The nearest beach is about two miles away, the bus stop is less than a minute's walk from the gate with services to Blackpool, Cleveleys, Fleetwood and Poulton, and the market town of Poulton-le-Fylde and the old deep sea fishing port of Fleetwood both make easy days out without the car. Pitches are fully serviced hardstanding, each with its own drinking water supply, grey waste disposal, electric hook up and free wifi, and hook ups are available on grass as well as hardstanding. Washing facilities run to two showers and three toilets, with no extra charge for a shower. Being a Certificated Location, it is members only and caps outfits at 9.14 metres, and there are no tents, so non members, tent campers and anyone after a big park with a pool and a clubhouse should look at Blackpool's larger sites instead. Riding is available at Beechwood Stables, which is a fair clue to the name. The Club lists the 2026 season as 1 March to 31 December with arrivals from 1pm, and you book direct with the owner on 01253 821437.

Good to know

Do you need to be a member to stay at Beechwood Stables?
Yes, Beechwood Stables is a Caravan and Motorhome Club Certificated Location, which the Club lists as reserved exclusively for members. Note that the site's own website does not mention a membership requirement anywhere and takes bookings direct, so it is worth confirming with the owner when you ring.
Is the site open all year?
No, the Caravan and Motorhome Club lists the 2026 open dates as 1 March to 31 December, so the site closes for roughly the first two months of the year. Earliest arrival time is 1pm. Confirm your dates with the owner on 01253 821437 before you set off.
Can you bring a tent?
No, tents are not taken. As a five van Certificated Location the site is for caravans and motorhomes only, with a maximum outfit length of 9.14 metres. All pitches are hardstanding and enhanced, and electric hook up is available on both the grass and the hardstanding areas.
Are dogs allowed?
Yes, dogs are welcome and the Caravan and Motorhome Club flags the site as one suited to dogs, families, beach stays and peaceful stays. The lane and the surrounding semi rural ground give you somewhere to walk them, and the coast at Cleveleys is within walking distance of the site.
How far is the beach and Blackpool?
The nearest beach is about two miles from the site, and Cleveleys is close enough to walk. Blackpool town centre and the Pleasure Beach are a short drive, and the bus stop at the end of the road runs to Blackpool, Cleveleys, Fleetwood and Poulton, so you can leave the car on the pitch.
What does a pitch cost and how do you book?
The tariff published on the site's own website is £23 a night for a caravan including electric, but it is dated 1 January 2022, so treat it as a guide and confirm the current rate. You book direct with David Miller on 01253 821437. Deposits are non refundable but transferable.
