Pitches: 15 Opening Dates: Open All Year Buckden Camping and Pods at Heber Farm in the heart of real dales life We provide camping at two locations around the farmhouse hub facilities; a Certified Location Caravan & Camping Club site with hard standing for five units accessed through the Yorkshire Dales National Park Car Park, meadowland tent pitches for tents and trailers by the river and Dales Way footpath behind the farmhouse, and two comfortable camping pods. At the heart of picturesque Upper Wharfedale, not far from the source of the river, our working farm in the village of Buckden is owned by the National Trust and has been tenanted by us, Garry and Gillian Schofield, since 1994. With stunning walks to take your breath away, we promise you fresh air and fun. Waterfalls, limestone wonders, secluded ghylls are on hand along with a host of tourist attractions to visit within easy driving distance, so there is always plenty to see and do. Our services based in the farmyard between our two camping site areas, offers a toilet, power shower and pot-washing facilities. For busy periods our more rustic ÔTough Mudder shower in the barn is also available. A fridge and freezer is available; please ask. On the meadow site for tents and Pods, toilets, a shower and pot-wash facility are available for your use. This year we are offering two family pods with on site facilities. The Highland - Our unfurnished family pod comes with outside decking. Simply bunk down as you would in a tent - without having to put it up! The Galloway - Our furnished family pod with outside decking comes supplied with a mattress covered seating area that converts to a sleeping platform, simply bring your own bedding and feel right at home Just bring what youd normally bring for camping.The latest in cool camping, our two pods each sleep up to 5 people and offer electricity, lighting and heating for the ultimate in easy camping. Spacious and secure the pods are insulated wooden huts which provide warm and cosy accommodation whatever the weather. The roofing material is designed to eliminate noise and enhanced by natural sheep wool insulation, it ensures the pod is warm in cold weather and cool when it gets hot! On our brand new for 2017 Buckden camping site we also welcome all tents great and small, against the glorious backdrop of the North Yorkshire Dales. And our simple camping and caravan club site is still a haven for anyone wanting to escape the hurly burly of town.
