About this site
This is a Camping and Caravanning Club Certificated Site, which accept caravans or motorhomes and usually tents. Pitches: 20 Opening Dates: 1st April To End Of October WE WELCOME EVERYONE TO OUR WONDERFUL SMALL, QUIET, FRIENDLY SITE on working family farm in a peaceful location, with magnificent views across the beautiful North Yorkshire countryside. We welcome touring caravans, motor homes and tents to our clean cut site which is level and well drained. This is an ideal base for touring or walking the North York Moors, Yorkshire Dales or East Coast resorts - there is so much to do in the area. The site has easy access to many lovely local footpaths including the Cleveland Way and to the historic ruins of Rievaulx Abbey which is only two miles away. Alternatively, you can get away from the hustle and bustle, relax and take in the views of fabulous open countryside which you can only get from being situated on the top of the hill. As we are a working livestock & arable farm you can expect to see sheep, cattle, tractors and our sheepdogs during your stay. Our facilities include a toilet block with hot & cold water wash basins and electric hookups. Prices per night start from £6.50 per adult and £2.00 per child (3+) for tents and £15 for caravans with two adults plus £3.50 for electric hookup if required. We advise that you contact us to check availability and book for weekends and bank holidays. All facilities meet Camping & Caravanning Club regulations. Popular market towns in the area include Helmsley and Thirsk (the home of James Herriot) where there is a plentiful range of shops and restaurants as well as indoor and outdoor swimming pools. Larger market towns of Pickering, Malton, Ripon & Northallerton are only 30 minutes away. Plenty of eating places and pubs in local towns and villages. Plenty of cycle routes (with bike hire) and horse riding in the area.
