About this site
Pitches: Numerous Opening Dates: 01/04 To 30/09 Bush Farm is a farm centre with bison, elk and many other animals to see, tucked away in the woods at the southern end of the small village of West Knoyle, two miles from the A303. Vast woodland area, throughout which are half a dozen super-sized clearings, each big enough to accommodate several tents. Youll also find a picnic bench and brick firepit for use in each clearing and, if you need wood, theres a designated area where you can chop your own. We also have a gothic pod which provides a glamping experience with gorgeous views over the Wiltshire countryside. Complete with a brassiere and space for 2 adults and 1 child it is the ideal place for a weekend away The farm walk is for about a mile as a circular tour round the fields where visitors can see herds of bison, (between 90-100) as well as elk, all out in the meadows. Closer to the farm yard are lakes and 30 acres of old oak woods, with picnic and play areas and home to poultry, owls, rare breed sheep and pigs, chipmunks, prairies dogs, rheas, raccoons and guanacos. Hidden in the bushes is a duck hide to watch wildlife on the bottom lake. By the gallery lawn picnic area is a playground and a childrens farmyard. Teas and light meals are served from the shop, where you can also buy bison and elk meat. In the gallery are pictures of American wildlife, Native American artefacts of all kinds and 'buffalo' robes to keep you warm in winter.
