About this site

Calloose Holiday Park, formerly Calloose Caravan Park, is a family-run holiday park and campsite in a quiet country valley at Leedstown near Hayle in west Cornwall, with a heated outdoor pool and its own secure dog field. Hayle Beach on St Ives Bay and Praa Sands on the south coast both sit about 4 miles away, putting four beaches within a 10 to 15 minute drive, and days out such as Flambards, the Cornish Seal Sanctuary and the Minack Theatre are all within reach. Tourers and campers pick from fully serviced gravel hardstandings in 8m x 8m and 10m x 10m sizes (the larger ones fenced on three sides), grass touring pitches with electric hookup, and tent pitches with hookup as standard; tents larger than 6m x 6m are not accepted, and anyone set on campfires or pitch barbecues should look elsewhere, as cooking on coals happens only at the free communal gas barbecue area by the bar. Static holiday homes and four lodges with hot tubs cover non-campers. Beyond the pool, bar and restaurant, arcade and adventure playground, the fenced one acre dog walking field with its stream and pond is the standout, and Tripadvisor reviewers score the park 4.3 from more than 300 reviews, with clean facilities and friendly staff the recurring praise. Prices are quoted through Calloose's online booking system, and with the pool open from mid-May to September it makes a proper family base for west Cornwall.

Good to know

Are dogs allowed at Calloose Holiday Park?
Yes, Calloose is dog friendly across the touring pitches, camping field, holiday homes and lodges. Dogs must stay on a short lead and are not allowed in the swimming pool or playground areas, and guests get a secure one acre dog walking field with a stream, a pond and benches.
Can I have a campfire or barbecue at Calloose?
No, open fires, chimineas, wood burners and barbecues on pitches are all banned, including coal and disposable barbecues. The park provides a free communal barbecue area beside the bar instead, with three gas barbecues, benches and free gas supplied; guests just need to clean up after using it.
Do the pitches at Calloose have electric hook-up?
Yes, every pitch type at Calloose includes electric hookup as standard. The gravel hardstandings are fully serviced with their own water, waste and electric connections, the 8m x 8m grass touring pitches offer an optional direct water connection, and the grass tent pitches come with hookup included.
How far is Calloose Holiday Park from the beach?
Hayle Beach on St Ives Bay and Praa Sands on the south coast are both about 4 miles from the park. Calloose sits inland at Leedstown, and four different beaches are reachable within a 10 to 15 minute drive, covering both the north and south Cornish coasts.
Is there a swimming pool at Calloose Holiday Park?
Yes, the park has a heated outdoor pool that is open from mid-May to September, running 10am to 6pm during school holidays. The pool is not lifeguarded, so children must be supervised by an adult, and dogs are not allowed inside the pool area.
How much does a stay at Calloose Holiday Park cost?
Calloose does not publish a fixed tariff; pitch and accommodation prices are quoted through the park's online booking system, which covers touring, camping, holiday homes and lodges. Check your dates on the booking site linked from calloose.co.uk, or call the park on 01736 850431 for current rates.
