Why campers love it here
About this site
Cambrose Camping & Touring Park (formerly Cambrose Touring Park) is a six acre family campsite at Cambrose near Redruth, set on Cornwall's north coast between the surfing beaches of Portreath and Porthtowan. Portreath Beach is just over a mile away along the traffic free Tolgus Trail, roughly 10 minutes by bike or 20 minutes on foot, and both beaches are a 2 minute drive; walkers and cyclists can join Cornwall's Mineral Tramways trails, the woodland paths of Tehidy Country Park and the South West Coast Path straight from the site. Grass and gravel pitches, with electric and non electric options, take tents, touring caravans and motorhomes, and the park accepts families and couples only, so groups of friends are not catered for; there is no glamping and there are no statics. New owners have refurbished the shower and toilet block and added a pool table for wet evenings, alongside the outdoor swimming pool, seasonal pop up cafe, on site shop, play area, small football field and a stream winding through the grounds. Off ground fire pits are welcome and can be hired on site, and up to two dogs per pitch stay on short leads. Tripadvisor reviewers score Cambrose 4.6 out of 5, with clean facilities and a friendly welcome the recurring themes. Seasonal pitches run from 1 April to 31 October, and nightly prices are quoted through the operator's online booking system.
