About this site

On a working farm at Great Hatfield, Clapham Holme Farm Certificated Location keeps just five hardstanding pitches for touring caravans and motorhomes in quiet East Yorkshire countryside. The Caravan and Motorhome Club runs it as a members' location, so you will need club membership, and there are no tent pitches, which keeps it firmly a tourer's bolthole. The beach at Mappleton is around two miles off, the seaside town of Hornsea and its long sands about four miles, and the village pub is close enough to stroll to for supper. Each pitch has an electric hook-up, the family who farm here also let holiday cottages on the same land, and the five-van field sits on its own among roughly ten acres, so it never feels crowded. Bring the dog and you have farmland tracks and bridleways from the gate. There is plenty within reach for days out, including Hornsea Mere for boating, the Freeport outlet, The Deep aquarium at Hull, Burton Constable Hall and the market town of Beverley. Clapham Holme Farm opens from 1 March to 31 October, and you book directly with the farm once your Club membership is sorted.
