About this site

Collacott Farm earns its keep with estuary views and a spot on the Tarka Trail, a Caravan and Motorhome Club Certificated Location on a working farm about a mile from Fremington near Barnstaple in North Devon. Five grass plots take caravans and motorhomes of any size, each with a hardstanding, water and an electric hook-up and good grass between pitches; there is a toilet on site though no shower, so pack accordingly. Tents are not accepted and the location is for Club members only. The 30-mile Tarka Trail cycle path can be picked up at nearby Fremington Quay, and the site sits handily between the market towns of Barnstaple and Bideford, with North Devon's headline beaches at Instow, Saunton, Croyde and Woolacombe all within striking distance. Fremington itself has shops and pubs a mile away and a regular bus service. Dogs are welcome. Collacott Farm suits cyclists, beach-goers and couples touring North Devon rather than anyone needing full amenity blocks. Members book through the Caravan and Motorhome Club.
