Aysgarth Camping (Formerly Colmans of Aysgarth)

Formerly Colmans of Aysgarth, Aysgarth Camping is a small family run touring site in the Wensleydale village of Aysgarth, inside the Yorkshire Dales National Park, with a public footpath from the rear of the site leading through fields to Aysgarth Falls. The village sits between Leyburn and Hawes, the Herriot Way long distance walk starts and finishes beside the campsite, and the falls that appeared in Robin Hood, Prince of Thieves crash through their gorge a short walk from your pitch. Generous 12 metre by 12 metre hardstanding and grass pitches with electric hook up take motorhomes, campervans, caravans and roof tents, while a separate camping field without electric welcomes walkers with small tents; larger tents and group bookings are not catered for, and the whole site is aimed at people after peace and quiet rather than a lively holiday park. The Camping Hut gives campers an indoor fridge, freezer, microwave, toaster and kettle, well behaved dogs are welcome, and new owners Pete and Teresa took over in 2024, running the Rooms at Aysgarth guest house alongside the campsite. Aysgarth Camping is open all year, with pitches priced and booked through the online booking system.
