Why campers love it here
About this site
Coombe Leigh Certificated Site sits on Broad Road at Hambrook, a village just outside Chichester in West Sussex, run under the Camping and Caravanning Club's certificated site scheme. Chichester Harbour and its network of coastal footpaths are close by, and the cathedral city of Chichester itself, with the Roman Palace at Fishbourne and a South Downs backdrop, is a short drive away. Coombe Leigh takes tents, caravans, motorhomes and small campervans, with electric hook-up and an on-site toilet and shower block, covering more ground than many certificated sites that expect you to be fully self-contained. As with all certificated sites, numbers are capped, so you get up to five caravans or motorhomes plus additional tent pitches rather than a sprawling touring park, which suits campers wanting a quiet, small-scale stay over anyone after a shop, bar or play area. Dogs are welcome throughout. Visitors consistently describe the pitches as well kept and the setting as peaceful, with Hambrook's position between Chichester and the harbour giving you a genuinely rural base still only minutes from the city. Only Camping and Caravanning Club members can book, so check membership and availability directly with the site.
