Why campers love it here
About this site
Dale Hey Farm Touring Caravan Site is a family run touring park on Preston Road at Ribchester, less than a mile from the Roman village and the River Ribble, with its own broadleaved woodland to wander. John and Catherine run the place, and the site sits high enough to give you views across the Ribble Valley in most directions. The Ribble Way and a spread of local cycle routes start nearby, Ribchester and its Roman museum are a 10 to 15 minute walk down the hill past the White Bull and the Ribchester Arms, and Longridge and Clitheroe are both short drives. Every pitch is hardstanding with grass in between, and the toilet and shower block is heated with showers free of charge. Dale Hey takes caravans, motorhomes, campervans and trailer tents only, so tent campers need to look elsewhere in Lancashire, and there is no space for RVs or fifth wheelers. Wood fires and fire pits are not allowed, though gas and charcoal barbecues are fine kept off the ground. Two dogs per unit are welcome on a lead, and the £32 nightly rate covers two adults, two children, an awning, both dogs and one car, which makes it good value for a family. The site reopens on 1 April 2026 after closing for winter, and booking is by phone or email.
