Why campers love it here
About this site
Damage Barton Caravan and Camping Site is a 16-acre touring and camping site on a 600-acre working beef and sheep farm between Woolacombe and Ilfracombe in North Devon. The setting is the real draw, sat high on the North Devon coast in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty with panoramic sea views that reach across to the Welsh coast. The village of Mortehoe is a mile away, Woolacombe's award-winning surfing beach is about two miles off, and there is direct access from the site onto the South West Coast Path towards Lee Bay, Morte Point and Bull Point, with the Tarka Trail cycle route close by. Pitches are a mix of immaculate hardstandings and grass, all with sea views and electric hook-up, taking caravans, motorhomes and tents, and there is a Caravan and Motorhome Club affiliated section too. Facilities are strong for a farm site, with two heated shower blocks, family and accessible bathrooms, a wetsuit washroom, laundry, an on-site shop open daily, three dog exercise areas and a kite-flying field. The Lethbridge family have farmed here since 1962 and run a welcoming, well-kept site that suits families, coastal walkers, surfers and dog owners, though it closes over winter. Damage Barton is open from 20 March to 1 November 2026, booked online or by phone.
