About this site

Dobrudden Caravan Park is a family run touring and caravan park high on Baildon Moor, above Shipley and Saltaire in West Yorkshire, with wide views over Shipley Glen. Run since the 1950s, the park sits on open moorland yet is only about 2 miles by car from Baildon village, with its shops, pubs and train service, and the Bradford district attractions within easy reach. Pitches are aimed at tourers and motorhomes, on hard or grass standing with electric hook-up and water, and there are three insulated camping cabins for anyone who wants a warm, dry alternative to a tent. Dobrudden also rents and sells static caravans. It suits tourers, motorhomers and glampers after a quiet, low cost moorland base; open fires and fire pits are not allowed, so it does not suit campers set on a campfire night. What stands out is the peaceful setting and the resident farm animals and peacocks, though the early morning birdsong is worth knowing about. The park is open from 1 March to 31 January, with touring pitches from £17 a night and camping cabins from £45 a night.

Good to know

When is Dobrudden Caravan Park open?
Dobrudden is open from 1 March to 31 January each year, closing through February. The camping cabins run on a slightly shorter season, from 1 March to 18 December. Book ahead and confirm your dates directly, as touring pitch and cabin availability differ across the season and around bank holidays.
How much are pitches and cabins?
Touring and motorhome pitches start from £17 a night for two people without hook-up, rising to £20 with electric hook-up, with higher rates in high season and on bank holidays. The insulated camping cabins start from £45 a night for two, and a larger family cabin is £65. Full payment is taken on booking.
Are dogs allowed?
Yes, well behaved dogs are welcome at Dobrudden and must be kept on a lead at all times on site. Dogs are not allowed on the beds in the camping cabins and should not be left alone in them. The surrounding Baildon Moor gives open, easy dog walking straight from the park.
Can you have campfires?
No, open fires and fire pits are not allowed anywhere on site at Dobrudden. The park sits on exposed moorland and treats this as a firm rule to protect campers, cabins and the surrounding land. Plan meals around the amenity block and your own equipment rather than an open fire.
What is there to do nearby?
The park sits above Shipley Glen, with its historic tramway and woodland walks close by, and the World Heritage village of Saltaire is a short drive away. Baildon village, about 2 miles by car, has shops, pubs and a train station. Bradford, Bingley and Haworth attractions are all within the wider district.
