About this site

Dove Meadows is a quiet grass touring park and campsite on Green Lane West at the edge of Marazion in west Cornwall, a 4 minute walk from the sandy beach at Mounts Bay with St Michael's Mount just offshore. Marazion town centre is a 10 minute walk for pasties, pubs and galleries, Penzance is about 3 miles along the bay, and the RSPB Marazion Marsh reserve sits next door, with National Cycle Network Route 3 passing the gate. All pitches are grass, marked and mostly gently sloping, taking caravans, motorhomes, campervans and tents up to 7 metres, with 10 amp hook ups, non electric options, walkers' pitches for one, and level premium pitches (numbers 20 to 26) that can be requested. It suits couples, families and dog owners (up to 3 dogs stay free, kept on leads); it does not suit groups after nightlife, as campfires, ball games and noise after 10pm are all out, and there is no playground or laundry. The Cornwall basics are done properly: clean showers at 50p for 7 minutes, a dishwashing shed with hot water, a tiny shop for essentials, and a fish and chip van twice a week in high season. Campers rate it 4.7 out of 5 on Tripadvisor, mostly for the location and the welcome. Dove Meadows opens 11 March to 25 October 2026, with pitches from £18 a night (£22 with hook up).

Good to know

Are dogs allowed at Dove Meadows?
Yes, dogs are welcome and stay free of charge, with a maximum of 3 per pitch. They must stay on a lead at all times and cannot be left unattended, and there is no exercise area on site, so walks and toileting happen off site along the nearby beach and lanes.
Can you have campfires or barbecues at Dove Meadows?
No, campfires are not allowed anywhere on the site. Raised barbecues are welcome provided they are kept off the grass, and reception lends blocks to stand them on; used charcoal and briquettes go in the designated bin, and fire safety equipment is placed around the site.
When is Dove Meadows open in 2026?
Dove Meadows is open from 11 March to 25 October 2026. From 11 to 25 October only the premium pitches (numbers 20 to 26) are available, so book ahead for late season. Check in runs from 2pm to 7pm and pitches are vacated by midday on departure.
How much does a pitch at Dove Meadows cost?
Pitches start from £18 a night without electric and £22 with a 10 amp hook up, based on 2 people. Walkers' pitches cost from £10 for one person and premium pitches from £27; in peak season (20 July to 6 September) an electric pitch is £35. Extra adults are £8 and children £6 a night.
How far is the beach from Dove Meadows?
The sandy beach at Mounts Bay is a 4 minute walk from the site. St Michael's Mount sits just offshore and is reached over the causeway from Marazion at low tide or by boat, and Marazion town centre, with its pubs, bakery and galleries, is a 10 minute walk.
Is Dove Meadows suitable for families?
Yes, children are welcome, but there is no playground on site and ball games and cycling around the pitches are not permitted; Marazion has a play park a short walk away. This is a quiet site with noise kept down after 10pm, and stag and hen groups are not accepted.
