Driftwood Caravan Site

Small, quiet and tucked into a screen of trees, Driftwood Caravan Site sits in the village of Kilnsea at the base of Spurn Point on the East Yorkshire coast. The site has five hard-standing pitches with electric hook-ups plus a separate area for small tents, so it suits couples and solo travellers after peace rather than large groups or families needing a busy park. Owners John and Mandy keep a clean, modern shower and toilet block with hot and cold water, and free WiFi is available across the site. Spurn Point, a nature reserve managed by the Yorkshire Wildlife Trust, sits right on the doorstep, and the area is the mainland's most important site for migratory birds, so Driftwood is a favourite with birdwatchers, walkers and cyclists. The Crown and Anchor pub is about 150 metres away and serves home-cooked food and real ales with views over the Humber Estuary, while the Blue Bell cafe is a short stroll towards the sea. Fishing is easy both at sea and along the River Humber. Withernsea, with shops and supermarkets, is about 10 miles away, and Hull is roughly 24 miles. Dogs are welcome, and the site stays open all year.
