Why campers love it here
About this site
East Kirkby Hideaway is a small, member-exclusive Certificated Site on a one-acre grass paddock at East Kirkby, near Spilsby in Lincolnshire, run under the Camping and Caravanning Club scheme. Being a Certificated Site, it takes no more than five caravans or motorhomes plus a handful of tents, so this is a quiet, low-key spot rather than a big touring park, and you need to be a Club member to book. The ground is level to gently sloping, with grass pitches offered with or without electric hookup on a metered basis, and campervans, motorhomes, touring caravans, trailer tents and tents are all accepted. Unusually for a Certificated Site, it is family friendly and welcomes pets, with a well-sheltered feel and a site-approved takeaway delivery service if you do not fancy cooking. The location earns its keep: the Lincolnshire Aviation Heritage Centre, home of the Avro Lancaster 'Just Jane', is right in the village, Spilsby sits about 5 miles east, and Horncastle is around 7 miles to the north west, with the Lincolnshire Wolds close by. There is a pub, a shop and public transport within a mile. East Kirkby Hideaway is open all year, and members book from £18 a night for a unit with up to two adults and two children.
