Why campers love it here
About this site
Ellscott Park is a touring and camping site set across eight acres near Birdham in West Sussex, roughly a mile and a quarter from the village and about two and a half miles from East Wittering. The pitches sit on open, level grass with electric hook-up widely available, and a separate field is kept back for ball games, bikes and kites, so children have somewhere to burn off energy away from the caravans. Chichester is under four miles north, and Ellscott Park's position between the city and Chichester Harbour makes it a workable base for a beach day at the Witterings or a look round the cathedral and shops. The site suits tents, caravans and motorhomes alike, and a playground gives families with younger children something on site rather than relying entirely on the beach. It is less suited to campers chasing total peace and quiet in high season, since this is a well-used site with pitches close together rather than a scattering of secluded spots. A modern toilet and shower block, laundry facilities and a chemical disposal point cover the basics, and bus routes nearby run to Chichester and the Witterings if you would rather leave the car on the pitch. Contact Ellscott Park directly for current season dates and pitch prices.
