Why campers love it here
About this site
Elm Tree Farm pairs a country bed and breakfast with a small, welcoming campsite in the conservation village of Holmpton, near Withernsea on the East Yorkshire coast. The farmhouse is a listed building dating from 1750, and the pitches sit in open Holderness countryside about a 10 minute walk from the coast, where you can climb down to long, sandy beaches. You get five Certified Location pitches for caravans and motorhomes, plus a number of grass tent pitches with or without electric hook-up, so the site works for touring caravanners, campervanners and tent campers alike. It is a compact, quiet spot rather than a large holiday park, which makes it a poor fit if you want an on-site clubhouse or entertainment. Dogs are welcome, up to two per pitch on leads, and children of all ages are too. What stands out here is the extra care: free fast Wi-Fi up to 38Mb, a fridge, microwave and laundry by arrangement, and a licence to serve bottled ales and ciders from the nearby Great Newsome Brewery. Barbecues are allowed if raised off the ground, though open campfires are not. Elm Tree Farm is open all year, and this stretch of Holderness in East Yorkshire is brilliant for walking and cycling. You book direct with the owner by phone or email.
