About this site

Evergreen Farm Campsite is a working farm campsite at Beckett near Ashwater in west Devon, run by a fourth generation farming family with a farm shop at its centre. The camping field is large and level, set in open countryside opposite Witherdon Wood, about a ten minute drive from Roadford Lake and its watersports, and roughly 35 minutes from the beaches at Bude and from Dartmoor National Park. Pitches take tents, caravans, motorhomes and campervans, with electric hook ups available and a toilet and shower block on site. Campfires are allowed, which is a genuine draw for a farm site, and dogs are welcome, so it suits campers who want space, quiet and a proper rural base rather than an entertainment park. What stands out is the on site farm shop and kitchen, selling free range eggs, local meat, pies, pasties, cakes and hot food daily, plus cream teas and coffee, so you can eat well without a supermarket run. There are woodland walks straight from the site and country pubs a short drive away. Evergreen Farm is open across the main season, roughly April to October, and pitches are booked through the farm's Pitchup listing or by contacting the site directly.
