Many of our clients return often as we are an ideal location for easy access to Durhams highlights being only just over 4 miles by road and bridal path for bikes or walking just over 2 / 3 miles to the beautiful cathedral city of Durham. Finchale Abbey / Priory is a very pretty site set in beautiful countryside along the banks of the River Wear , being within easy reach of the bustling city of Durham 4 miles from the park and the Arnison Centre with in 1and half miles from us Where Sainsbury's M&S ( one of the largest out of town in the N east ) Lidel, Asda, L Ashley to name just of few outlets. Following the great feedback after upgrading the toilet and shower block and we're really proud of the standard that has been achieved. Both blocks have heating, hand dryer, hair dryer/ shaving socket(gents), free hot showers, soap dispensers, provided to add to your comfort during your stay. We can now offer our bespoke handmade Camping Pod ( another being built and will soon be ready ) Enjoy camping without roughing it in our bespoke camping pod with lights, heating and electric sockets so you can charge your phone up to use our wif!. The pod also benefits from being fully insulated and double glazed and has a lockable front door. The pod has two fullsized single beds.
