About this site

Pitches: 215 Opening Dates: March To October Fisherground is set right in the heart of Eskdale, one of Cumbria's loveliest valleys. Here on the West side of the Lake District we get less rain and more sun than our famous cousins the other side of Scafell. In this quiet valley there is still the Peace and Tranquillity that should be Lakeland - but rarely is in the bustling centres. Here there are still more sheep than people. Peace is the watchword on the Campsite too. We cater mainly for families and couples and every effort is made to ensure silence after 10.30pm. We now take bookings, and look forward to welcoming you when you arrive. Our toilet facilities have been refurbished for the 2014 season, and include hot showers, toilets, hot water for washing up and laundry facilities. We have 6 electric hook up points. There is also a children's paradise, with rafts on the pond, a tree house, a zip wire, tarzan ropes, and an adventure course. Camp Fires are allowed in existing fire beds and we have our own station on the Ravenglass & Eskdale Miniature Railway.
