Why campers love it here
About this site
Gatwick Caravan and Motorhome Club Site is a touring campsite at Lowfield Heath, Crawley, run directly by the Caravan and Motorhome Club as one of its full-facility Club sites. It sits just off the A23, about a mile from Gatwick Airport, with a train from Gatwick reaching central London in around half an hour, so it works equally well as an airport-adjacent stopover or a touring base for West Sussex and Surrey. The site holds motorhomes, caravans and small campervans, with electric hook-up, a toilet block, laundry and a motorhome service point, plus dog walking space. Gatwick Club Site is built for touring stopovers and short breaks rather than long lazy holidays by the sea, though Brighton's seafront is a short drive south. Families and cyclists are well catered for, with Tilgate Park two miles away and Ashdown Forest within reach for a walk. Crawley town centre is close for a supermarket run, with a Tesco Express a mile off and a Sainsbury's at 1.5 miles. The Club has awarded the site Green Tourism Gold. Book through the Caravan and Motorhome Club's own system, and check ahead if you need a storage pitch as well as a touring one.
