Goffsland Farm is a family-run 250-acre working farm at Shipley, five miles south of Horsham in the West Sussex Weald, with a five-pitch Caravan and Motorhome Club Certificated Location open all year. Four of the five pitches have hard standing as well as grass, so touring caravans and motorhomes can be accommodated whatever the season, and every pitch has electric hook-up included in the price. There is a shower block with toilets, laundry and washing-up facilities, and a small farm shop selling the farm's own eggs and honey alongside homemade marmalade and cakes. The farmhouse dates from the early 1600s and is Grade II listed; records show a woman called Ann Goff living here in 1604, which is where the farm takes its name. The Liverton family have farmed the land since the 1950s and run a pedigree herd of Sussex cattle and a small flock of sheep, supplying beef and lamb to local butchers. Public footpaths and bridleways cross the farm, which is managed under the Higher Level Stewardship scheme with uncultivated field margins, hedgerows left to grow and 800 metres of new hedge planted; RSPB Volunteer and Farmer Alliance surveys have recorded at least 46 bird species here. Dogs are welcome. The George and Dragon, the Selsey Arms and the Countryman are all within walking distance, and the South Downs and the Sussex coast are around twenty minutes away by car.
