It suits campers after a genuinely peaceful, wooded pitch close to walking country rather than anyone wanting a campfire evening or a lively site with entertainment. The approach lane is narrow with no passing space, so arrival before 1pm is discouraged, and satnav directions through Petworth should be ignored in favour of the signed lorry route.
