About this site

Cheap, grassy and deliberately basic, Grange Farm Caravan Park is a family run touring site on Grange Lane at Stalmine, near Poulton le Fylde, that has been quietly doing the same thing for around 35 years. It sits on 1.5 acres of field surrounded by farmland, on the back roads that link Stalmine to Hambleton, Knott End and Preesall without ever touching a main road, with Blackpool and Lancaster both about 25 minutes by car. All the pitches are grass. Five electric hook up points are kept back for tourers and rallies, sited on the top of the hill so you get the view from your window, and there is drinking water, a chemical waste point and a small toilet block added for the 2022 season, which is what allowed tents to be taken. Be clear about what this is not: there is no shop, no fishing any more since the public liability insurance would not cover it, and the facilities are as simple as they come. What Grange Farm does well is price and quiet, with a shop and a pub restaurant under a five minute walk and a play area and football pitch three minutes away in Stalmine. Non electric pitches are from £10 a night and electric hook up pitches £13, per unit rather than per person, booked with Stuart on 07590 014176.

Good to know

How much is a pitch at Grange Farm?
Electric hook up pitches are £13 a night and non electric pitches £10 a night. Prices are per caravan, tent or motorhome rather than per person, and there is no extra charge for dogs or awnings. A non refundable deposit is taken to confirm the booking, paid by BACS or PayPal.
Are tents allowed?
Yes, tents are welcome. They were not always taken, but a small toilet block was added for the 2022 season and tents have been accepted since. All the pitches are grass and there are no extra charges for awnings, so the field suits tents, caravans and motorhomes alike.
Are dogs allowed?
Yes, dogs are welcome at no extra charge, but they must be kept on leads at all times with no exceptions, and you must tidy up after them. The back roads around Stalmine are good for dog walking and biking without needing to get the car out at all.
What facilities are on site?
Facilities are deliberately basic: a small toilet block added in 2022, drinking water, a chemical waste point and five electric hook up points reserved for tourers and rallies, all on a 10 amp supply. Fishing on site has stopped because the public liability insurance would not cover it.
How far is Blackpool?
Blackpool is about a 25 minute drive from Stalmine, and Lancaster is roughly the same in the other direction. Knott End on Sea is five minutes away, with cafes, takeaways, two chip shops and the ferry across to Fleetwood. Hambleton, five minutes the other way, has a service station and shops.
Is it good for families?
Yes, children are very welcome. A park, children's play area and football pitch are all about a three minute walk from the site, and the local shop and pub restaurant are under five minutes on foot. Rally bookings are also taken, so the field can be reserved for groups.
