Why campers love it here
About this site
Pitches: 10 Opening Dates: 30/4 To 30/10 Humblescough Farm is a small family farm, situated in the lovely Lancashire countryside. We keep cattle, sheep, hens and a characterful collection of ducks! Our aim is to run our caravan site in an environmentally-friendly way whilst providing modern-day facilities. Solar panels on the barn roof provide some of our electricity. The environmental work we have undertaken on the farm includes providing nesting habitats for birds and bats, a bee garden and woodland planting. At Humblescough Farm there is an area with 5 hardstanding pitches- each with electric hookup and water- which is by the wildlife pond. Adjacent to this is the Little Meadow. This is a 3 acre meadow with hard-standing and grass pitches and plenty of room for caravans, motorhomes and campervans. 16 amp electrical hook ups are available and there is easy access to water. Campfires are allowed on the Little Meadow but wood must be purchased from the farm. Foraging for wood in the hedgerows is not permitted since this damages wildlife habitats. We supply a bag of wood, kindling and the loan of a fire pit for £10 per night. There is a shower and toilet block and a washing up area. A chemical waste disposal point is provided, along with a re-cycling area for disposing of rubbish. Our Information Hut contains brochures and information about local events and places to visit in the area. A folder contains information on a range of local routes for walking or cycling and there is a selection of books, magazines and games to borrow. We sell eggs from our own free-range hens. Humblescough Farm is a perfect hideaway for a relaxing escape to the countryside and a great place for watching wildlife. The site is dark at night allowing visitors to enjoy star-gazing on clear nights. (Remember to bring your torch for late night visits to the toilet block!) You may prefer to spend your time at Humblescough Farm relaxing, walking, cycling or visiting some of the other great places in our area. There are also fishing lakes nearby, boat trips on the canal, clay shooting and a golf course in Garstang. We can even organise family bushcraft days and woodland birthday parties for children.
