Why campers love it here
About this site
Hele Valley Holiday Park is a family-run park tucked into a wooded valley at Hele Bay, a short way from the harbour town of Ilfracombe in North Devon. It is one of the area's five-star touring and camping parks, and camping is a genuine part of the offer rather than an afterthought: grass and electric pitches take everything from small tents to large campervans, and you choose your own pitch when you book direct. Alongside the touring field there are glamping pods, studio pods, self-catering lodges and holiday caravans, so the park works for tents and creature comforts under one gate. Reviewers regularly single out spotless, frequently cleaned shower blocks, quiet nights and helpful staff, which points it at families and couples after a calm base rather than a party crowd. Hele Bay's dog-friendly beach is about five minutes on foot, Ilfracombe's harbour and Verity statue are close by, and the South West Coast Path runs along the top of the valley. Dogs are welcome across much of the park. This corner of North Devon puts Woolacombe, Combe Martin and Exmoor within a short drive. Hele Valley Holiday Park usually runs from April to the end of October, so plan a shoulder-season trip accordingly.
