About this site

Hendra Holiday Park is a large family holiday park and campsite set in 80 acres of landscaped parkland on the edge of Newquay, Cornwall, home to one of the biggest indoor fun pools in the South West. Run by the same families since 1972, the park sits a 5 to 10 minute drive from Newquay town centre, with Fistral, Towan, Tolcarne and Great Western beaches all within that short hop. Touring caravans, motorhomes and tents get six pitch types, from grassed electric to fully serviced hardstandings, plus a car-free camping area and an adults-only Pitch and Pause section running from 1 September to 24 October 2026. It suits families who want a proper resort holiday; anyone after a quiet rural spot with a campfire circle and not much else should look at smaller sites, as evenings here mean live shows rather than silence. Beyond the Oasis indoor pool with its three flumes and the heated outdoor pool (open May to August), there are four food outlets, Palm Beach Adventure Golf, a skate park and the new Newquay Rocks climbing and activity centre opening for summer 2026. Raised fire pits are allowed if kept 3 metres from units and out by 11pm, and one dog per booking is welcome on selected grass pitches for an extra charge. Touring stays at Hendra start at 3 nights, with prices quoted through the park's online booking system.

Good to know

Are dogs allowed at Hendra Holiday Park?
Yes, Hendra welcomes one dog per booking on selected grass touring pitches and in its pet-friendly caravans, for an extra nightly charge. Dogs must stay on a lead, several breeds including Rottweilers and Akitas are not accepted, and there is a dog walking field plus a dog bath at the Pine toilet block.
Can you have a campfire at Hendra Holiday Park?
Yes, raised fire pits are permitted as long as they sit at least 3 metres from tents and motorhomes, burn only wood or charcoal, and are out by 11pm. Barbecues are also allowed provided they are kept off the ground and positioned so they cannot scorch the grass.
Do the touring pitches at Hendra have electric hook-up?
Yes, Hendra offers six pitch types including grassed electric, grassed fully serviced and fully serviced hardstanding pitches with electric, water and grey waste. Touring and camping bookings run to a minimum of 3 nights, and pitch sizes vary within each type, so check your unit fits when booking.
Is there an adults-only camping area at Hendra?
Yes, the Pitch and Pause area is reserved for guests aged 18 and over, and runs on selected dates from 1 September to 24 October 2026. It offers grassed electric, fully serviced grass and hardstanding pitches, with some dog-friendly options, while keeping access to the park's four restaurants and bars.
How far is Hendra Holiday Park from Newquay and the beaches?
Hendra sits on the edge of Newquay, about a 5 to 10 minute drive from the town centre. Fistral, Towan, Tolcarne and Great Western beaches are all found around the town, so you can be on the sand shortly after leaving your pitch.
Does Hendra Holiday Park have swimming pools?
Yes, the Oasis indoor fun pool has three flumes and is one of the largest indoor fun pools in the South West, and a heated outdoor pool opens from May to August. Outdoor pool entry is included with every holiday booking, and Oasis sessions can be booked in advance.
