About this site

Hidden Valley Park is an award-winning campsite and touring caravan park set in a wooded North Devon valley at West Down, near Ilfracombe. The park sits among rolling hills with a lake, a stream and plenty of wildlife, from buzzards and kingfishers to the occasional otter, and it stays open all year. Some of North Devon's best beaches are close by: the golden sands of Woolacombe are around four miles away, with the Tunnels Beaches at Ilfracombe, the surf at Croyde Bay and the wide expanse of Saunton Sands all within a short drive. Pitches suit tents, tourers and motorhomes, with roomy hardstandings, electric hook-ups and TV aerial points, plus a range of Forest Lodges for guests who want a self-catering base. There is a lakeside restaurant and bar with views over the water, a shop, a children's play area and a bus stop right outside the entrance, which is handy for reaching Ilfracombe without the car. Reviewers regularly praise the peace, the clean facilities and the welcoming owners and wardens. It suits families, couples and walkers who want quiet countryside with the coast nearby, rather than a big entertainment resort. Pitches and lodges are booked through Hidden Valley's own booking system.
