Why campers love it here
About this site
High House Farm earns its keep on the view alone: this five-pitch Caravan and Motorhome Club Certificated Location sits above the water at East Portlemouth, looking straight across the estuary to Salcombe and out over National Trust coastline in South Devon. The half-acre site is level, grassy and open to Club members with caravans, motorhomes and small campervans; electric hook-ups are provided for touring vehicles. There is no toilet or shower block, so you will need to be self-sufficient, and tents are not accepted. Children are welcome. The clever part is the pedestrian ferry from East Portlemouth, a five-minute hop that runs roughly every half hour and drops you into the middle of busy Salcombe without the long drive round. The South West Coast Path runs right by the site, opening up the sandy coves of the South Hams on foot. High House Farm suits members chasing sea views and coast-path walking near Salcombe rather than anyone wanting on-site facilities. Book through the Caravan and Motorhome Club.
