About this site

Higher Lanhainsworth is a 15 pitch, members only Camping and Caravanning Club certificated site just outside St Columb Major in mid Cornwall, open all year and unusually well kitted out for a site of 1.5 acres. St Columb Major is a 10 minute walk away, with a Co-op open until 11pm, a family butcher and family pubs, and the central position keeps drives short: Retallack Aqua Park is 5 minutes away, Screech Owl Sanctuary and Camel Creek 10 minutes, the beaches around Newquay 20 minutes and the Eden Project 25 minutes. All 15 pitches measure a supersized 10 by 10 metres, split between 5 combo pitches (grass plus hardstanding, with 16 amp pay as you go electric, a personal tap, grey waste drain and TV hookups for Freeview, Sky HD and Freesat) and 10 grass camping pitches with 6 amp hook-up. You must hold Camping and Caravanning Club membership to stay, and anyone after a playground, bar or entertainment should book a bigger Cornwall holiday park instead. The standout is the tech: free guest WiFi at up to 20Mbps, three unisex hot shower pods and a toilet block open 24/7. Higher Lanhainsworth welcomes dogs at no charge (maximum 2 per pitch), and pitches are booked through its online booking system or by phone.
