About this site

Highfield Farm is a working family farm at Ottringham near Hull, offering back-to-basics camping with tents, caravans and motorhomes all welcome. The site sits off Station Road in the flat Holderness countryside of East Yorkshire, about 7 miles from the beach at Withernsea and roughly 13 miles east of Hull. You can choose between three camping areas: The Paddock, a sheltered field with electric hook-ups and water around the edge; Sunset Strip, which faces west for big open skies; and a hard standing area handy for the shower block. Pitches suit tent campers, tourers and motorhome travellers who want space and quiet rather than a busy holiday park with entertainment. Alpacas and free-range chickens roam the farm, and sheep graze the surrounding fields, so dogs are welcome but must stay on leads at all times. The shower block has free hot water, two shower rooms with toilets and a washing-up area, and recycling bins are provided. Golf, fishing and horse riding are all close by, and Highfield Farm stays open all year. Pitches start from £17 a night for two adults, with electric hook-up an extra £3.
