About this site

Hopeville is a small member-only certificated site set high in the Lincolnshire Wolds near Binbrook, a quiet touring base tucked into this Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. The site covers about three-quarters of an acre of gently sloping grass, roughly 6 miles north-east of Market Rasen and around 8 miles from Louth, with the sandy beaches of the Lincolnshire coast at Mablethorpe about 18 miles east. Run under the Camping and Caravanning Club scheme, Hopeville takes up to five caravans or motorhomes plus a handful of tents, so it stays peaceful and is open to Club members only. For a certificated site the facilities are decent, with a flushing toilet, hot showers, washbasins, wi-fi and a designated dog walk, and pitches come either as grass only or grass with an electric hook-up. Beyond the pitch this is proper walking and cycling country, and a pub, shop, takeaway and children's play area are all within easy reach, with public transport within a mile. Hopeville is open all year, which is unusual for a small site like this, and members' prices start from £14 a night per unit, covering up to two adults and two children, booked through the Camping and Caravanning Club. It suits couples and small families who want the Wolds quiet rather than a big holiday park in Lincolnshire.

Good to know

Is Hopeville open all year?
Yes, the Camping and Caravanning Club lists Hopeville as open from 1 January to 31 December, which is unusual for a small certificated site. That makes it a handy off-season base in the Lincolnshire Wolds, though it is worth booking ahead because space is very limited.
Do I need to be a Club member to stay at Hopeville?
Yes, Hopeville is a certificated site under the Camping and Caravanning Club scheme, so it is open to Club members only. It takes up to five caravans or motorhomes plus a few tents, and you book through the Club rather than directly with the owners.
How much does it cost to stay?
Members' prices start from £14 a night per unit, covering up to two adults and two children, according to the Camping and Caravanning Club. Grass pitches with an electric hook-up are available alongside grass-only pitches, and rates are quoted and booked through the Club.
Are dogs allowed at Hopeville?
Yes, pets are welcome and there is a designated dog walk on site. With Lincolnshire Wolds footpaths close by it is good walking country for dogs, so it suits campers who want quiet countryside strolls straight from the pitch near Binbrook.
What facilities are on site?
For a small certificated site the facilities are decent, with a flushing toilet, hot showers, washbasins, wi-fi and a designated dog walk. A pub, shop, takeaway and children's play area are all within easy reach, and public transport stops within a mile of the site.
How far is Hopeville from the coast and nearby towns?
Hopeville sits near Binbrook in the Lincolnshire Wolds, about 6 miles from Market Rasen and 8 miles from Louth. The Lincolnshire coast at Mablethorpe is roughly 18 miles east, so a beach day is doable but not right on the doorstep.
