About this site

Kingfisher Lakes Glamping is a lakeside glamping site set around two fishing lakes in the rural countryside near Brandesburton, East Yorkshire. You will find it at Corner Farm in Burshill, a short drive from Driffield (about 7 miles west) and the coast at Hornsea (roughly 6 miles east). This is a glamping-only site, so there are no tent or touring pitches: you stay in one of the safari tents, yurts, a summer bell tent, or a lakeside lodge, each with proper beds, a log-burner and cosy furnishings. It suits couples after a hot-tub lodge, and families or groups of friends who want a comfortable outdoor stay without the kit. Dogs are not accepted anywhere on site, so plan around that. Kingfisher Lakes stands out for its water: you can hire kayaks (from about £45 for a stay) and fish the on-site lakes, while firepits can be hired for evenings beside the water. A covered kitchen barn and underfloor-heated washrooms serve the whole site, and the family has run it since 2017. Safari tents and lodges are available year round, while the yurts run from Easter to late October, so check the booking calendar for dates and prices before you pitch up.

Good to know

Are dogs allowed at Kingfisher Lakes Glamping?
No, Kingfisher Lakes cannot accept dogs or other pets anywhere on site at any time. The glamping units, lakeside setting and shared facilities are all kept dog-free, so you will need to arrange care for pets elsewhere if you want to stay here.
Can you have a campfire at Kingfisher Lakes Glamping?
Yes, firepits can be hired during your stay for evenings beside the lakes. Each glamping unit also has a log-burning stove for warmth, and a covered kitchen barn with a barbecue area handles the cooking, so open fires are managed rather than free-standing.
What accommodation does Kingfisher Lakes Glamping offer?
Kingfisher Lakes is glamping-only, with no tent or touring pitches. You can choose from safari tents, yurts, a summer-only bell tent, or lakeside lodges with hot tubs and central heating, each fitted with proper beds, a log-burner and cosy furnishings for a comfortable stay.
Is Kingfisher Lakes Glamping open all year?
Yes, in part. The safari tents and lakeside lodges are available year round, while the yurts run from Easter to late October and the bell tent from late May to early September, so check the booking calendar for the dates you want.
What is there to do at Kingfisher Lakes Glamping?
Plenty on the water and nearby. You can hire kayaks from about £45 for a stay, fish the two on-site lakes, and reach Hornsea beach in around 15 minutes by car, with Driffield and the Yorkshire Wolds also close by for days out.
Is Kingfisher Lakes Glamping suitable for families?
Yes, families and groups are well catered for. The larger safari tents and lodges sleep bigger parties, the lakes and kayaks keep children busy, and the shared washrooms are underfloor-heated, though remember that the site cannot accept dogs at any time.
