Why campers love it here
About this site
Kingslake Fishing Holidays is a 40 acre fishing and self catering holiday park at Chilla near Beaworthy in west Devon, built around nine coarse fishing lakes. The park sits in quiet countryside close to Halwill Junction and Holsworthy, with the sandy beaches of Bude and Widemouth Bay around 40 minutes away by car and Dartmoor within easy reach. Most guests stay in the cottages, lodges and hot tub lodges, but there is also a small camping and touring area with grass and hardstanding pitches, electric hook ups and its own shower and laundry facilities, so tents, campervans and touring caravans are welcome alongside the self catering accommodation. This suits anglers, couples and families who want fishing on the doorstep, farm animals and a children's play area, rather than anyone after a large lively resort. What stands out is the setup for fishing, with nine lakes for beginners through to experienced carp anglers, plus the on site Lakeview restaurant and bar for meals without leaving the park. Kingslake's cottages and lodges are available all year, and a three night fishing break in a two bedroom cottage starts from £120 a night, with touring and camping pitches booked directly through the park.
