Pitches: 52 Opening Dates: March To November Nestling into farmland beneath Whinlatter Forest. Lanefoot Farm house has been here since 1568. Peaceful site in picturesque setting, between Bassenthwaite Lake and Derwentwater. Panoramic Views of surrounding fells, including Skiddaw, Barrow, Seat How and Lord's Seat. Superb walks / cycle rides directly from site; such as Grisedale Pike and The Coledale Round. Whinlatter Forest, can be reached on foot, or by bicycle, from the site. The C2C cycle route passes our door. We have several glamping options on site, which provide an alternative to a tent, especially on wet days! The SHEPHERDS' HUT which sleeps 2 comfortably. It has its own space on site, with views of Skiddaw and Barrow. Two standard camping PODS which are situated on the Meadowfield, and also sleep two comfortably. We also have a FAMILY POD. It can sleep two adults and two children. It is proving very popular. We are on Facebook.
