The town of Leek has many interesting buildings and a new, pedestrianised shopping centre. Foxfield Railway runs steam trains through five and a half miles of north Staffordshire - a superb way to enjoy the area's most beautiful scenery. There are several museums, galleries and factories to explore in the Potteries, like Moorcroft in Stoke on Trent, which includes a factory tour. Hire a bike to take the scenic Manifold cycle track. It follows the route of the former Leek and Manifold light railway. Alton Towers is a theme park for all ages. It has many shows, rides and gardens along with a Caribbean lagoon-style Waterpark.
