About this site

Little Orchard Caravan Park is a four acre, family owned touring park on Back Lane at Weeton, named after the Johnson family's prize winning apple orchard across the road and laid out with 57 marked all weather pitches. The Johnsons opened the park in 1998 and still run it, and they set it among open fields and trees so it reads as part of the countryside rather than a car park with hook ups. Weeton sits handily on the Fylde: Kirkham is three miles away for Morrisons and Aldi, Preston is seven miles, a Spar with a Starbucks and a Greggs is three quarters of a mile up the road at the Shell garage, and Blackpool and Lytham St Annes are both short drives. Every pitch is hardstanding with a grassed area for an awning, full electric hook up and its own parking space, and Super Size pitches take the bigger caravans. The park splits into named areas including Orchard, Pasture and Woodside, each built around open grass. Little Orchard is for touring caravans, motorhomes and trailer tents only, one unit per pitch, so tent campers are out. Access runs on overhead security barriers and a site key system, and dogs are welcome on a lead. This Lancashire park opens from 14 February to 1 January, and bookings can only be made by telephone.

Good to know

Can you pitch a tent at Little Orchard Caravan Park?
No, all pitches are for one touring caravan, motorhome or trailer tent, so ordinary tents are not accepted. Every pitch is hardstanding with a grassed area for an awning. If you are bringing an awning, note that metal rock pegs are required rather than standard plastic ones.
Are dogs allowed?
Yes, dogs are welcome but must be kept on a lead at all times anywhere on the park. The site sits amid open fields and trees on the Fylde, so there is countryside on the doorstep, though the park itself is only four acres and has no dedicated dog exercise field.
What are the opening dates?
The park is open for touring caravans from 14 February through to 1 January, so it closes for roughly six weeks of deep winter. Bank holidays carry a three night minimum booking. All pitches must be vacated by 1pm on the day you leave.
How many pitches are there?
57 spacious marked all weather pitches, all with hard standings, full electrical hook ups and space for an awning, plus parking. Super Size pitches are available for larger caravans. Pitch requests are taken on a first come, first served basis and cannot always be guaranteed.
How do you book?
By telephone only, on 01253 836658. There is no online booking. Bookings are advised at all times and essential for bank holidays and summer holiday weekends, and one night bookings may not be accepted at busy times or on summer weekends. Caravans are not admitted without a booking.
How far is Blackpool and Kirkham?
Kirkham is three miles away with Morrisons and Aldi, and Preston is seven miles. Blackpool and Lytham St Annes are both a short drive from Weeton. A Spar, Starbucks, Subway and Greggs sit three quarters of a mile away at the Shell garage, and a Tesco is 10 minutes off junction 4 of the M55.
