About this site

Polladras Holiday Park, formerly Lower Polladras Touring Park, is a family-run touring, camping and glamping park at Carleen near Helston in west Cornwall, open all year and rated 4.9 on Tripadvisor for its spotless facilities. The park sits in quiet farmland 3 miles from Helston, with Porthleven harbour and the beach at Praa Sands both around 4 miles away and St Ives and Falmouth within a half hour drive. Pitches run from 7 by 7 metre non-electric Silver grass pitches through Gold grass and hardstanding pitches with 10 amp hook ups to a 15 by 15 metre hedged Premium pitch with twin hook ups and its own water tap, alongside Sapphire static caravans and three grades of furnished bell tent. It suits families and couples after a quiet Cornwall base rather than anyone wanting clubs or entertainment: the extras are a games room, a play park with football pitch, a launderette, free wifi and a wooded nature trail for dog walks. Fire pits are welcome as long as they are raised on legs, and the park hires them out with logs and kindling for £20 on the first night. Dogs are welcome, and the owners publish their own guide to dog friendly beaches. Polladras Holiday Park takes bookings year round, with current pitch prices quoted through its online booking system.

Good to know

Are dogs allowed at Polladras Holiday Park?
Yes, Polladras is a dog friendly park and dogs stay for a small nightly charge, the only extras being people and dogs. There is a small wooded nature trail on site for dog walking, and the owners publish their own guide to dog friendly beaches in west Cornwall.
Can I have a campfire or fire pit at Polladras?
Yes, raised fire pits are allowed and the park hires them out for £20 on the first night, including logs, kindling, firelighters and a fire bucket, then £5 a night after that. Your own fire pit is fine if it stands on legs, and the park provides bricks to protect the grass.
When is Polladras Holiday Park open?
Polladras is open all year round. The main shower and toilet blocks run from April to October, and two wet rooms, one for families and one accessible, stay open through the winter for campers staying outside the main season, so you can pitch up in any month.
What touring and camping pitches does Polladras have?
Polladras offers six pitch types across grass and hardstanding. These run from Silver 7 by 7 metre grass pitches without electric, through Gold pitches with 10 amp hook ups in standard, large, hardstanding and double XL sizes, up to a 15 by 15 metre hedged Premium pitch with twin hook ups and a water tap.
How far is Polladras Holiday Park from the beach?
The nearest beaches, Praa Sands and Porthleven, are around 3 to 4 miles from the park by road. The owners publish a dog friendly beach guide, and St Ives, Falmouth and most of west Cornwall's coast are within a half hour drive.
How much does a night at Polladras Holiday Park cost?
Current pitch prices are quoted through the park's online booking system rather than a published tariff. Each pitch price includes two people, the only extras you pay for are additional people and dogs, and booking direct through the park's website earns a discount with the BOOK-DIRECT code.
