Why campers love it here
About this site
Set inside the grounds of a historic National Hunt racecourse, Market Rasen Racecourse Caravan Park is a family-friendly touring site on the western edge of the Lincolnshire Wolds, run by the Jockey Club and affiliated to the Caravan and Motorhome Club scheme. The park sits on Legsby Road in Market Rasen itself, so you can walk into a proper market town for shops, supermarkets, pubs and cafes, while Willingham Woods and the pretty village of Tealby lie a short drive east into the Wolds, and the city of Lincoln is about 17 miles away. There are 53 grass touring pitches at Market Rasen Racecourse Caravan Park, 51 of them with electric hook-up, and motorhomes, caravans and tents are all welcome, with fifth wheels taken by prior arrangement. Facilities include a heated toilet and shower block, a laundry room, a small shop, accessible facilities and a children's play area, and well-behaved dogs are welcome on leads with their own exercise field. The one thing to plan around is racedays: the toilets and showers close for a few hours around racing and you cannot arrive on a race day, though staying on site puts you right next to the action. The park is open from March to October, non-members are welcome as well as Caravan and Motorhome Club members, and you book pitches through the racecourse's online booking system.
