Melbourne Grange Farm Certificated Site

Melbourne Grange Farm is an adults-only certificated site on a level 0.6 acre paddock at Melbourne, about 12 miles from the city of York in East Yorkshire. This is a small, quiet touring site for caravans, motorhomes and tents, and it does not accept children or pets, so it suits couples and older campers after a calm, tidy base close to York. Every pitch has its own 16 amp electric hook-up, fresh and waste water and a toilet, with a chemical disposal point on site. The location is genuinely handy: a park and ride bus into York is around 8 miles away, York Maze and the Elvington air museum are about 5 miles, and Pocklington with Burnby Hall Gardens and its water lily collection is 6 miles off. What stands out is the balance of quiet and access, plus the Melbourne Arms in the village within walking distance, which serves evening meals if you would rather not cook. The area is popular with cyclists, and the East Yorkshire coast at Hornsea is roughly an hour's drive. Melbourne Grange Farm is open from February to October, with pitch rental from £16 a night before hook-up. As a certificated site it usually requires caravan club membership, which you can normally arrange when booking.
