About this site

Mousehole Camping is a small tent, campervan and glamping site on the grounds of Mousehole AFC football club in Paul, near Penzance in west Cornwall, a 15 minute downhill walk from Mousehole's famous harbour. Paul sits high above Mount's Bay, with Penzance about 3 miles away, the Minack Theatre at Porthcurno around 7 miles off, and St Michael's Mount at Marazion about 6 miles, so the far west of Cornwall is in easy reach. There are 35 pitches: 24 large flat grass pitches and 11 all weather hardstandings with electric hook up, taking tents, campervans and motorhomes up to 7.5 metres, plus pre erected boutique bell tents sleeping 4. Touring caravans are not accepted, and the walk back up from the harbour is steep, so the site suits campers happy on their feet rather than anyone wanting everything on the flat. Campfires are allowed if raised off the ground in a fire pit, firewood is sold on site, dogs are welcome on leads, and BBQs can be borrowed from the site. Reviewers rate the welcoming hosts and the location, though the toilets and showers are a 65 metre walk across the football pitch. Mousehole Camping runs its summer season from April to mid September with pitches from £20 a night, and the 11 hardstandings stay bookable through winter with facilities closed.

Good to know

Are dogs allowed at Mousehole Camping?
Yes, dogs are welcome as long as they are kept on a lead at all times. The operator asks that dogs are well behaved and notes that breeds on its banned list cannot be accepted, and Mousehole village below the site has dog friendly pubs and coastal walks.
Can I have a campfire at Mousehole Camping?
Yes, small campfires and BBQs are allowed provided they are raised off the ground in a fire pit or on stones. Firewood is sold on site and BBQs can be borrowed from the site, so there is no need to pack your own from home.
Does Mousehole Camping accept touring caravans?
No, touring caravans of any size are not accepted. The site takes tents, campervans and motorhomes up to 7.5 metres across 24 flat grass pitches and 11 all weather hardstandings, and pre erected boutique bell tents sleeping 4 are available if you would rather go glamping.
How much does a night at Mousehole Camping cost?
Pitches start from £20 a night. Motorhome pitches run from £20 to £35 a night including electric, tent and campervan pitches from £20 to £30 with hook up £5 extra, walkers and cyclists pay £10 a person, and bell tent prices are quoted through the operator's Bedful booking system.
When is Mousehole Camping open?
Mousehole Camping's main season runs from April to mid September. From mid September to the end of March the 11 hardstanding pitches stay available for campervans and motorhomes, but the facilities are closed over winter, so out of season guests need to be fully self contained.
How far is Mousehole harbour from the campsite?
Mousehole harbour is a 15 minute walk downhill from the site, roughly a mile away, though the operator suggests allowing about 20 minutes for the steeper walk back up. Penzance is about 3 miles away and the South West Coast Path runs through Mousehole towards Lamorna Cove.
