About this site

Mulino Lodge, listed here as Mulino Pods, is a collection of dog friendly glamping pods and a self contained cabin on a working pasture farm at Kniveton, near Ashbourne on the edge of the Peak District. The pods are spread across the hillside for privacy, each with its own deck, fire pit and sweeping panoramic views that reach across to Carsington Water and the Derbyshire hills. This is glamping rather than camping, so there are no tent or touring pitches: you stay in a warm, well equipped pod (Bluebell, Lavender and Damson) or the larger Ewe Lodge cabin, with shared spotless shower rooms, an outdoor kitchen, an honesty shop, an information lounge, WiFi and an EV charger on site. It suits couples, families and small groups after a peaceful reset, and dogs are genuinely welcome. Being a real farm, you wake to grazing cattle and, in spring, lambing right by the pods. Carsington Water, Dovedale, Bakewell and Alton Towers are all within easy reach, and the market town of Ashbourne, a short drive away, has shops, pubs and cafes. Guests consistently highlight the views, the cleanliness and the attentive hosts. Mulino Lodge is open year round, with pods and the cabin booked direct through the operator's website, where a first stay currently earns 10 percent off.

Mulino Lodge

Good to know

Is Mulino Lodge (Mulino Pods) dog friendly?
Yes, the glamping pods and cabin are dog friendly, and each pod has its own private outdoor space and fire pit. The site sits on a working farm, so dogs should be kept under control around the grazing livestock and out on the surrounding footpaths.
Can I pitch a tent or caravan here?
No, Mulino Lodge is glamping only, with wooden pods and a self contained cabin rather than tent or touring pitches. Each pod has a bed, kettle, fridge and heating, with shared shower rooms and an outdoor kitchen provided on site.
What are the views and setting like?
The pods sit on a hillside on a working pasture farm near Ashbourne, with panoramic views reaching to Carsington Water and across the Derbyshire hills. You wake to grazing cattle and, in spring, lambing close by, which reviewers regularly pick out as a highlight.
What is nearby Mulino Lodge?
Carsington Water, Dovedale, Bakewell and Alton Towers are all within easy reach, and Ashbourne town, a short drive away, has shops, pubs and cafes. A short walk to Madge Hill from the farm is a popular way to catch the sunset.
How do I book and is it open all year?
Mulino Lodge is open year round and pods and the cabin are booked direct through the operator's website. Booking direct currently earns 10 percent off a first stay, and there is an honesty shop on site for firewood, essentials and towel hire.
