Namparra Campsite

Namparra Campsite is a back-to-basics camping field at Kuggar on the Lizard Peninsula in Cornwall, where campfires are welcome beside your tent and Kennack Sands, a Blue Flag beach with lifeguards and rock pools, is a 15 minute walk away. The site sits at the quiet southern end of the peninsula: Cadgwith's fishing cove is about 2 miles away, Lizard Point (mainland Britain's most southerly tip) is about 5 miles by road, and Helston, the nearest town, is about 10 miles north. Camping happens on a 6 acre field where non hook-up campers pick their own spot, while a limited number of electric hook-up pitches sit at the top of the field with some sea views and need booking early. Facilities are deliberately simple (individual wetrooms, each with shower, toilet and sink, plus separate toilet blocks), so anyone wanting polished amenity blocks is better served elsewhere. The atmosphere is the draw: the on-site Riptide Bar and Grill serves food and drink in season, live bands play the beer garden on Saturdays in high summer, resident pigs, alpacas, goats, sheep and chickens live here as pets, and two inground trampolines keep children busy. Namparra Campsite opens from Easter to the end of October, a proper base for a simple Cornwall camping trip, with pitches booked through the operator's online booking system.
