Why campers love it here
About this site
This is an adults only site Pitches: 20 Opening Dates: May 4th To October If you want a quiet woodland site with 5* facilities this is the site you are looking for! Adults only, dog friendly, campfires allowed, just find yourself a corner in the shaded woods, in one of the clearings or in the open meadow. Choose a space for your tent and enjoy the peace and quiet of the countryside. We welcome quiet, well behaved dogs on up to four of our pitches. Dogs must be kept on short leads or tie outs at all times when they are not in the tent with you - you will be sharing your camp with the wildlife who live there; we want you to enjoy the tranquil environment, and we want the wildlife to be able to enjoy it too! There are many excellent walks in the area, and we provide a Ôdoggy bin' so you can keep the area clean and hygienic. Park in the paddock onsite, and borrow one of our wheelbarrows to transport your belongings just a short distance to your chosen pitch. There are also barbeques and fire pits for you to borrow; logs and charcoal are for sale on site. There are picnic tables and the Elephant Shed where you can spend time if the weather is a bit watery! Sit by the woodburner and check out the local footpath maps, or read one of the many books which are available for you to borrow or swap. You will leave Newbourne Woodland Campsite refreshed and relaxed, planning your next visit! We do not have designated pitches, you can choose where you want to pitch your tent. A pitch comprises one tent with up to three people. We do not take groups of more than four, stag or hen parties. We have a 'quiet time after 10pm' policy, so other campers and of course the birds who live in the wood, can have a peaceful and relaxing sleep. If you want to party I'm afraid we're not the site for you - if you want to unwind and enjoy the countryside you will love Newbourne Woodland Campsite! The excellent toilet and shower facilities, camp fires and peace and quiet will guarantee you'll go home refreshed. And for a glamping experience you have a choice! There's Cherry Tree Cabin, a log cabin at the edge of the wood, overlooking the water meadow, gorgeously quirky and romantic. Or for the ultimate secluded getaway try Kingfisher Cabin. A cosy hideaway for two with decking and sit out over a tree lined pond. it is fully equipped, with a wood burner, electric shower and everything provided. Fancy a digital detox? Getting away from it all for a few days? Ask for details of Cherry Tree or Kingfisher Cabin.
